Susan, a 20+ year legal marketing veteran, is a recognized creative, critical, and strategic thinker who brings her broad knowledge and expertise on every facet of business development, marketing strategy and communications to every client situation.
She served in the roles of Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer at global AmLaw firms and Senior Marketing Executive with a Big 4 firm, after which she founded and ran a consulting firm for close to a decade before joining Edge International.
At Edge, Susan focuses on
- strategic marketing and communications;
- business development training and coaching;
- client development via client feedback, cross geo/practice collaboration and cross-sell
- strategies; and
- team assessment, mentoring and leadership.
A certified business development coach, Susan has a consistent track record of significant ROI (revenue growth, new clients, increased billings, additional practice areas) on client projects. She has also received numerous awards for websites, communications design and initiatives and branding programs.
Her love of teaching led to an associate professorship at Georgia State University where she taught Strategy, Organizational Behavior and Management in their Business School. She has also presented on a wide range of legal marketing topics for audiences including the State Bar of Georgia Younger Lawyers Division, LMA SE Regional Conference, and for numerous law firms and attorney audiences.
Susan holds her MBA (Marketing and Management) and BBA (Management) from Georgia State University.
An avid traveler and former expat, Susan enjoys learning about and tackling new legal business, marketing and communication challenges with clients. She resides in Atlanta.
